G & D Danes happened because both my husband and I had Danes long before we met and married. When my husband's blue Dane, Christopher, passed away at 13, we decided to get a new puppy and Chev came into our lives and that was that... I was bitten by the show bug and away we went.
Riverwood is our chosen line, and health testing is paramount to us prior to breeding. We breed occasionally, mostly when I need something new to show.
Due to planning, health testing and a good feeding program (both raw and kibble) our Danes' longevity is usually 10+ years.
Danes are wonderful companions but are not for everyone, so do your homework before bringing one of these wonderful partners into your home!
